Robert L. Padgette, CFA, CIMA

Managing Director, Founder
For more than 25 years, Bob Padgette has been a driving force in the development of new products and services for the investment and financial services industries. Prior to founding Klein Decisions in 2002, Bob was the Chief Executive Officer and founder of Möbius Group, Inc., a leading provider of software and data for investment professionals. Bob began his investment career at Kidder, Peabody & Co., where he last served as Vice President and National Director of the PRIME Asset Consulting Group.

During his career Bob has been very active in IMCA, serving on numerous committees and helping develop IMCA's Consultant Performance Presentation standards. He received the Steve Kessler annual writing award in 1997 from IMCA and the Pioneer Award from the Money Management Institute in 2003 for his overall contributions to the managed accounts industry. He is currently a member of the Methodology Committee at the Retirement Income Industry Association (RIAA).

Bob receive both a BSEE and an MBA from Duke University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA). He is also an active member of AIMR, IMCA, and RIIA.

Sally Atwater

Director, Finance and Operations
Sally Atwater brings to Klein Decisions 10 years in the financial and investment software industry along with 10 years experience in managing financial and accounting operations, including positions as Business Manager, Controller, and Chief Financial Officer.

Sally began her career in the Business and Finance Division of Duke University and later directed the financial and business operations of a major law firm. In this role, her experience and interest in the application of technology to estate planning issues grew. She left the firm to accept the position of Chief Operating Officer for Leonard Financial Planning Systems, launching the second phase of her career in the financial services technology industry. 

Prior to joining Klein Decisions, Sally played a key strategic role in the growth and success of Mobius Group as Director Finance and Operations and later as a Vice President in the Investment Services Division of CheckFree Corporation.

Sally holds both a BS in Management Sciences and Accounting and an MBA in Finance from Duke University.

Ted A. Ponko, CFA

Senior Product Analyst
Ted Ponko has over 20 years experience in mutual fund management, investments, portfolio analytics, and retirement plan design. He has served as Chief Investment Officer for the Actuarial Consulting Group, Richmond, VA, and Glenwood Capital Management, Raleigh, NC.

Ted received a B.A. degree from the College of William and May in Virginia. He subsequently earned his M.A. and PhD from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. In addition to being a CFA Charterholder, he is a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS®).
